The RCIP has enabled “seamless dispatching” of millions of emergency incidents to be automatically and bi-directionally shared for responses within dissimilar CAD 9-1-1 systems at multi-agency, multi-jurisdictional Communication Centers. Regionally, the RCIP allows us to effectively drop the borders between jurisdictions and agencies to expedite the quickest response and closet available resources to events by sharing units, location, status, and incident data. The results have effectively decreased the response time to the emergencies which can raise the overall survivability rate and lower the damage and cost for small and large scale events.
The RCIP uses the Kologik CAD-to-CAD Interoperability Platform for regional situational awareness to share and synchronize critical incident information in real-time for coordinated response among neighboring public safety systems at our Centers. The San Diego Region with the Kologik team has delivered a premier state-of-the-art CAD2CAD data exchange framework that optimizes day-to-day operations while scaling up to large transaction volumes and remaining flexible to ever-changing business rules.
